Documented behavior: Abandoning the Emergency tutorial quest can leave the player unable to succeed.
Official response: The notes say you must quit or die at this stage to progress. They do not provide a more detailed restart or menu path.
Do not delete a save as a substitute for this instruction.
STARTUPInfinite loading screen on launch+
Documented behavior: Some launches can get an infinite load screen. The patch notes say retries resolve it.
Practical boundary: This is not a promise that every loading failure has the same cause. A limited retry is reasonable; if it persists, stop repeating it and check official status or report the issue through official channels.
DISPLAY / CRASHExclusive Full Screen crashes+
Documented behavior: Exclusive Full Screen has crash issues. A display setting from a previous test may remain saved.
Official recommendation: Use windowed fullscreen. The saved notes do not establish an exact menu-click path or guarantee this resolves every crash.
RENDERERConsidering a DX11 launch option?+
Do not use DX11 as a workaround. The October performance notes say DX11 is no longer supported because of instability and crashes. We do not recommend -force-d3d11.
The source does not supply a universal driver prescription or alternative launch flag.
INTERFACEInventory menu opens unexpectedly+
The developer lists the inventory opening randomly as a known issue. The saved patch notes do not give a confirmed workaround. Avoid treating an undocumented fix as official advice.
